In order to commemorate the 150 anniversary, the Masters of Rum prepared a new product, with a production limited by its incredible quality.

The 150th anniversary of the creation of light rum deserved, for Cuba and the world, the manufacture of a very special product that would allow to commemorate such a worthy and significant event for the history of Cuban Light Rum.

Santiago de Cuba was the scene in 1862 of a "technological revolution" with which the so-called rum known until that moment as the "tafia" (an unpleasant drink in its aroma and coarse to taste, more typical of the old loot of pirates and corsairs of previous centuries) was turned into a totally different drink: The Cuban Light Rum. A very aromatic rum with a pleasant taste to the taste buds, typical of people who know how to drink.

The creation of this rum was very important cause it meant the beginning of a tradition that have been kept continuously by the Masters of Rum for more than a century.

To commemorate the 150 anniversary, the Masters of Rum of Santiago de Cuba prepared a new product, unique and unrepeatable, with a production limited by its incredible quality. A product with a selected blend of the oldest aged rum bases of aging wineries, especially with the contribution of the old bases of the Cuban Rum Cathedral, Don Pancho winery. In addition, with a spectacular end of its total mix, aged in its last stage in "wonderful coffers", barrels with more than 90 years of work extremely maintained and treated, to treasure the "Jewel of the Siglo y Medio Rum", typical of a "city full of history".

Santiago de Cuba is recognized for its active presence in many events of enormous importance in the history of Cuba, many of which have marked the course of our country and the American and European continents. To mention only a few, let us remember that in 1515 it was one of the first seven Villas that were founded on the Island after the discovery of Christopher Columbus, reason why in 2015 it arrived to the 500 years old.

Now we present a product that is excellence itself, something sublime prepared with much love, dedication and mysticism, in honor of the genuine and authentic Cuban Rum of all times.
