SANTIAGO DE CUBA: Nowadays it is the name of one of the provinces in the eastern region of the Republic of Cuba. It was one of the villas that Diego Velasquez decided to build in the spring of 1514 in the harbor of Santiago, which become later in a city and head of the bishopric of the island. In 2004, the Añejo Superior (11 years old) was presented. A magic combination of the body of sugar cane expressed in its sweetness and spirit present in its long-aged eau-de-vie. It is one of the oldest and best kept secrets by Masters of Rum from Santiago de Cuba. This rum won the Golden Diploma at the International Competition of Drinks "Vintage 2005" in Russia, and EXPOCARIBE Design Award in 2005. In 2007, it won the Prize of the Higher Institute of Quality and Taste (ITQI), in Brussels.
The Extra Añejo 12 Years (12 years old) represents a complex synthesis of the great attributes of the maturing winery of Santiago de Cuba. The permanence of flavor and aroma uniquely highlights the tenor of the highly evolved oak; dry but soft and pleasant to taste. It reminds the presence of selected eau-de-vie and prolonged cohabitation with old but active barrels that gives it origin.

The Extra-Añejo 20 years (20 years old) is an exclusively designed to honor the Hero City, cradle of light rum, in 2000, 485 Anniversary of its Foundation. It earned that year the Award for Best Picture given by the Council of Administration of the city, Design and Quality Award EXPOCARIBE 2002 Quality Award in the First Edition of the International Rum Festival in Havana, 2004 and Gold Medal Award Quality at the International Fair of Havana, FIHAV / 2004. This product was designed with a series of commercial life of 5 years, so that, the next edition could be presented in the 490 anniversary of the city.
The Extra Añejo 25 years (25 years old) was created to commemorate the anniversary of one more quinquennium of the founding of the villa. Five years after launching the 485 Anniversary, the ancient wineries where lies the most prized collection of white oak barrels are opened again to offer the Extra Añejo 490. 25 Years Aging, which reveal at its finest velvet and right harmony, the art of mixing and aging of a mixed culture, pride of the Caribbean. This Extra Añejo already has its first medal of Quality, won in 2006 EXPOCARIBE.
