The international contest Pentawards recognized the essences of Eminente, a rum aged in white oak barrels, with notes of coffee and "raspadura", a Cuban sweet derived from sugar cane, subtle hints of tradition.
This contest is committed to recognizing excellence in the design of packaging, providing a source of inspiration and connecting the global packaging community through an annual competition and international conferences. It was a perfect day for this product, which was competing in the beverage category and received the Diamond Award, a kind of first prize among all categories.
The genesis of Eminente started from its management and launching, by the Moët Hennessy group, as a result of an agreement signed with Cuba Ron S.A. This agreement and exchange of productive routines, far from constituting an improvised experience for Cuba Ron, has been useful for acquiring mastery in the improvement of the production of rums, as well as in mass production for the benefit of large international groups.
Regarding this formula, the experts evoke the spirits of the Cuban canes of the 19th century. This fine liquor is presented inside a recycled glass bottle whose surface resembles the skin of an alligator.
As part of a spirit that syncretizes the consolidated scientific knowledge of the product with respect for tradition, Eminente has been conceived by César Augusto Marti Marcelo, chemical engineer and First Master of Cuban Rum, a top-notch technician in everything related to Cuban spirits.
Rum is widely produced throughout the world: in the Antilles, in the region of the Indian Ocean, as well as in Asia. However, Cuba remains the only region that has created a protected designation of origin (DOP Cuba) that defines the accepted methods and ingredients for its elaboration. Thanks to the virtues of the rum masters, this knowledge has been transmitted from generation to generation for more than one hundred and fifty years.
Eminente is also distributed in the United Kingdom, Germany, as well as Czech Republic, where Cuban spirits have won fans. In these countries, consummation must increase, where new brands emerge every month.
The most recent award represents another door to creation and growth of the industry, which seduces with its new flavors, exhibition and sale sites in the world.
This spirit has already earned several awards for its quality. The Cuban drink also triumphed at the China Wine & Spirits Awards, recognized as the largest and most prestigious wine and spirits competition in the Asian country.
