The Cuba Ron S.A. Corporation and the Ministry of Tourism (MINTUR), organize the 3rd International Rum Festival, with the participation of industry professionals, producers and national and international distributors. With the presence of Jorge T. Cardoso, Exports Director of Cuba Ron and Dalila González, Deputy Director of Marketing at MINTUR, the national and foreign press, along with other guests, this edition details were known at the gates of celebrating in June 11th, 12th and 13th, 2020, at the Plaza América fairgrounds in Varadero.
This event is presented as the propitious space to imbricate production, commercialization and tradition around the rum culture that characterizes the Caribbean region. Where the Light Rum was born for Cuba and for the world, the highlights of the category will come together to discover the Cuban rum origin and the productive regions of this typical drink of our country.
During the three days of common coordinate, Cuba will be the space to know the characteristics of the Cuban Light Rum, trends, new products, visit to productive facilities, master class, pairings, tastings, cocktails in classic style and flair, show cooking with rums, audiovisuals and concerts, as well as meetings with Cuban Rum Masters and international experts.
Cuba Ron, as parent and root, presides over the Regulatory Council of Rum on the Island, is the Havana Club producer and marketer, Santiago de Cuba, Cubay, Perla del Norte, Isla del Tesoro and Siglo ½ brands, among others, that have the Cuba Protected Denomination of Origin (PDO) for rums.
The Cuban rum master’s knowledge and the manufacturing spaces where this knowledge is transmitted, were declared in 2016 Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Nation.
The aromas and essences of this company, several times awarded nationally and internationally for their quality, design and even registered as three-dimensional brands, are present in more than 120 countries, despite the impossibility of accessing the main consumer market of spirits, the United States.
The quality of the Cuban Rum, of recognized international prestige, maintains in the production of their rums, the tradition inherited in 1862, as well as the one that extended in the Central region in 1870 until reaching the West of the country in 1878 and 1919.
Only a few months remain to see this party happen where the authentic and the traditional intersect in molasses, the magic of tasting, the origin of the oaks.
