Perla del Norte rum, the hallmark of the Cárdenas Rum factory, caught interest in the Expocuba capital fairground, during the presentation of more than 60 companies and entities of Matanzas that reflect the economic, political, social and cultural occurrences of the western territory.
In the largest expository center of the Caribbean nation, national and foreign visitors had the opportunity to taste the famous drink, widely accepted in Italy and Russia, as well as other South American nations such as Ecuador.
Ariel Cordero Alonso, the commercial director of the Cárdenas Rum factory, belonging to Cuba Rum S.A; explained that the liquid possesses 40 percent alcohol, and it is made from brandy and aged bases.
There are three different assortments of Perla del Norte rum, white card, gold and vintage letters, which can be found in the different chain stores throughout the country, added Cordero Alonso, who assured that the product is also marketed with tourism.
Cordero Alonso explained that in the Cárdenas Rum factory there are produced different kinds of brands such as Varadero, Refino Caribe, the Sao Can brandy, the twelve Cubay liqueurs, in addition to the bottling of the popular Havana Club, Cubay, Santiago de Cuba and Caney.
It is our greatest desire to position our productions in the world preference, for that reason we work hard with around 180 professionals, explained the commercial director.
According to the official site of Cuba Ron S.A, Cárdenas Rum factory was founded in 1878 by Don José Arechabala Aldama, a young man from Gordexola, Spain, who started operating a small alembic.
From last Wednesday until tomorrow, Sunday, the Cárdenas Rum factory and other 60 companies and entities of the territory show the best of their creation in Expocuba, while taking advantage of business opportunities and following up on other existing ones.
